With weights that are only marginally higher than the lightest rim brakes in the world and delay values as they were known previously only from the motorcycles Formula disc brakes are now leading. This raises the question: Why does not everyone drive a disc brake? In search of the answer we travel back to the sixteenth century: After Nicholas Copernicus proved that the earth is not flat but a sphere, it took decades until everyone knew that.
